According to the official explanation, the cause is the “to” of knowledge, the “to” of sincerity, and the “to” of tranquility. Titanium, referring to Titanium, atomic number 22, is a rare metal with light weight and high strength, which means to define the new “titanium” degree of flash memory technology.

YMTC was established by Tsinghua Unigroup in 2016. In just two years and billions of R&D expenses, YMTC successfully developed the first domestic 32-layer 3D NAND chip. Earlier this year, YMTC announced that their 128-layer stacked 3D flash memory has been successfully developed. The X2-6070 has the largest storage density per unit area, the highest I/O transmission speed and the highest single NAND memory chip capacity known in the industry. 3D QLC, and 128-layer stacked 3D TLC X2-9060.

At the 2018 Flash Memory Summit, YMTC officially launched the Xtacking architecture 3D flash memory, which was still 32-layer stacked at that time. Last year, it was announced that they could mass-produce 64-layer stacked flash memory, and now it has advanced to the industry’s most advanced 128-layer flash memory. Stacking, it took only three years.

Among YMTC’s 128-layer stacking products, the Xtacking architecture has been fully upgraded to 2.0, further unlocking the potential of 3D flash memory. The X2-6070 is a 1.33Tb 3D QLC with a 128-layer stack, while the X2-9060 is a 512Gb 3D with a 128-layer stack. TLCs are all based on Charge-Trap storage technology, and they can all achieve a data transfer rate of 1.6Gbps at a voltage of 1.2V Vccq.
